Palos Verdes and King Harbor, Redondo Beach

Report from Pierfishing.com:

Fished Palos Verdes again this morning around 6:30am. The water was very low even during the high tide. This time I came prepared with some snagless jigs, in particular the Bassdozer 3/8 oz. Arkey jig head paired with a 3" Big Hammer swimbait. Didn't lose any tackle--woot! :) But after landing a short calico, it was pretty dead the rest of the day.

Hopped on over to King Harbor jetty and threw out some grubs on both sides. There were several hits with two grubs coming back without a tail, but I wasn't able to land any. Opaleye? I was thinking the #4 circle hook was just too big for their mouths. Asked around and it didn't seem like anyone else was having success, either.

But it was a nice day to be out, especially after the brief rains the night before. Although this freaked me out a bit... Cat bones? Whatever they were, they were picked clean--not a single piece of anything on them.
