Report from Pierfishing.com:
My dad and I hit Redondo on Sunday from around 4pm to 10pm to try for some lobster. No lobster, but we got a bunch of small crabs, an octopus (very cool!), and a couple snails with cone shaped housing (can anyone help identify?) Hashem and his wife were good enough to stop by and drop off my hoodie... and fish, of course (well, not his wife)! He also brought over a new friend who he had just met on the pier (nice to meet you Larry). My dad manned the Sabiki and caught 2 barracuda, probably a dozen small spanish mackerel which we used for bait, and about 6 mackerel. I tried for some halibut but came up empty with just half-eaten bait to show for my efforts.
Good times!
