Thanks for the info guys. tattuna, I wish I'd gotten your message sooner, ha. The paddle back was brutal... plenty of whitecaps and my kayak kept wanting to turn out towards the ocean (as opposed to the beach). Just couldn't keep it straight. I was starting to get anxious wondering if I could make it back. I thought about landing on the surf but the big waves pounding the beach weren't very encouraging. Oi. It took about an hour to get to Malaga Cove and definitely more than that to get back.
