Had plans to jump on a 1.5-day boat out of San Diego, but they were all canceled because not enough people had signed up. Decided to stick around LA and rode the City of Redondo half-day boat with fellow fishing buddy Thomas. It was a far cry from our dreams of tuna and yellows, but it was fishing nonetheless! We took a pretty good shot at bonito but they were few and far in between with each stop. My only success came on the butterfly jig. The rest of our time was spent picking up several sculpin and a nice 20" sand bass.
